pilot o-ring size
Ok I was doing my dyno-jet stage one intsall today with new adjustable
pilot screw and noticed I need a new pilot o-ring. The nearest dealer
is 50-60 miles way and the old o-ring is deformed so does anyone know
the size of this o-ring so I can see if I can get it local before I end
up ordering one and paying way, way too much for it!
Thanks, Seth

<><><><><><><><><><> <><><><><><><><><><> Seth, Sorry I don't know the size but maybe there is a Harley dealer or V-twin shop nearer to you??? If so you could probably get the o-ring from them as the 883 uses the same carb. One used to be able to get such things at an auto parts store. Unless
the oring is destroyed they should be able to match it. Al A13 Ia

While I don't k now the answer to your question, I am curious about the
adjustable pilot screw.
Do you have a part number for it? My local Harley dealer is woefully inept
if it's not a large chrome part, so I'm thinking I might be able to source
it elsewhere.

This o-ring (92055-1002) from Kawasaki is pretty cheap and measures about 2mm x 1mm. If you source this else where, be sure it is Viton rubber.
I have this o-ring in a repacking kit along with the adjustable air screw in stock.

voltage regulator/fuses
Jeff Saline pointed out that the regulator gets the sense voltage on
the source side of the fuse, which means a blown fuse alone wouldn't
cause those kinds of symptoms. You might look at the ignition switch
instead, which switches the power to the brown wire when the bike is on.
If you don't see 12V on either side of the 10A fuse then the ignition
switch is something to look at. That would cause the light outage and
the high regulator output.
