neutral light failure

Post by fasteddiecopeman » Mon Jun 16, 2008 10:24 am

>Will bypassing the clutch safety switch make the bike start whether the light is on or not?
Yes. In gear or out of gear - but at least you won't be stranded when the 'safety' fails... and it WILL! Get rid of both, clutch AND sidestand safeties. Then just be mindful not to start the engine till the stand is up and you're either in neutral or clutch lever IN.
>I was interested in making the neutral light more reliable by better attaching the wire next
to the countershaft sprocket? I'm thinking that I should solder the connection or just put a dab of "quicksteel" on it? No? Sorry, can't answer that one. Cheers, Ed

ez just idle mixture screw

Post by prackley » Mon Jun 16, 2008 12:25 pm

I just found this item today and thought I'd share it with the group. It looks as though this should work on the KLR and for$22 would make fine tuning the idle mixture a lot easier. Has anyone tried this on their bike? http://tinyurl.com/34va72 Peter, A19
