kenda tire size question

Post by Spike55 » Wed Jun 11, 2008 4:46 pm

Could someone post back what the proper front and rear Kenda tire sizes? 3.00 vs 3.25-21 front and 4.60 vs 5.10-17 rear. My brother needs new "meat" for his '08. I just installed my second set of MEFOs after the OEMs gave up the ghost on my '06. Thanks again, Don R100, A6F

sidestand death switch

Post by Gary LaRue » Wed Jun 11, 2008 5:39 pm

Well, I guess I'll bite the bullet, I mean take the moral high ground of admitting that I've ridden off a number of times with the sidestand down on my '78 Honda 750 K which is equipped with the rubber bumper thingie. Most of the times it was just a gentle bump shortly after starting out and going slow, but a couple of times I had built some speed and it was pretty hard. It never seemed to damage the stand, though. By the way, I've never claimed to be the fastest learner in the world. (Don't tell my wife I said that - she thinks I am a genius. One of her few flaws.) I always wondered if they actually tested that thoroughly, or if some engineer just thought it was a good idea.
