my klr dilemma: woods thrasher or streeter beater

Hello: For the "cool products file"... I saw a thread on mirror dampers a while ago. I ordered a set of these from Fred. I found that they made a pretty big difference. I have the stock steel bars and Acerbis Rally Dual-Sport handguards. I had dumped the bike about a month ago and broken left-hand mirror mount. I decided to just get the upgraded switch. I just added a pair of antivibration devices to my KLR mirrors. Momma kaw should make these standard! The really work, plus they give the mirror about an extra inch so I can see around my arms. I bought them used but they are available from Whitehorse Press for 13 bucks plus shipping. What a deal!

The only thing I get from my mirrors is a lot of vibration and a good look at my elbows. If this is what you are talking about, I may have a solution for both these problems. I have those same dampeners, and yes, they work. Bar end weights from Fred and filling the bars with silicone caulk didn't hurt either. [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
