<><><><><><><><><><> <><><><><><><><><><> eddie, I don't want to rain on your parade but are you really gonna pay a guy $150 to drink beer while he works on your bike? The jobs you've described on the engine are precision jobs. The ones on your tire and brakes will have the potential to get you killed if not done correctly. Sounds to me like you could advertise a tech day saying you wanted help doing those jobs and guys local to you would show up and help you out for a lot less money outlay. I'm with you on that one, buddy. Not because I'm not so techi, but because (unlike some of the folks here) I just don't like to do it. To me, it's a drag and something I had to do most of my life. Now that I don't have to, I don't. Well... at least not very often. Lash ----- Original Message ---- From: Jim Douglas james.douglas@... help with buying an 08

Someone mentioned that saki fixed the oil consumption problem but that there are still old ones in the pipeline. Can anyone give me a date for the fix? I'd rather not wait for the 09's. We have a local dealer who is advertising a huge discount (for klr's) and I will check the manufacturing date if anyone can tell me when they did the fix. Don't want an old one. Thanks. don a17 voyager
