dead speedo

2007 (A21?). 7,6xx miles. The front wheel has never been off. My speedo died while underway. It was working (without any symptoms) and just stopped all at once. I pulled the cable and it is still intact. Any thoughts? TIA, Roger

Mine kept coming off under the speedo. TIA, Roger ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Mine has done that because vibration has loosened the speedo connection behind the instrument cluster. If you reinstall the cable and tighten the connections it might work just fine. ed A17
