I have an '04 and like everything about it but it's color, red. Anyone
want to trade bodywork or have some for sale?
Thanks, Gerry

wanted: color change, my red for your ?
Rumor has it the red ones are faster, but most of us greenies know
they just fade to pink and lose their zip :^)
I've covered up some ugliness and added color to my teal green KLR
using stick-on number plate material. I have templates for the large
areas of the side panels and some trim on the fairing and fenders if
you're interested. The PO covered my tank and fork tubes in clear
plastic and it's stuck well since he bought the bike in 1997. Comes
off with a heat gun if you change your mind.

nklr red-light cameras hurting revenue
Disclaimer: The following rant are the opinions of the author. If you disagree, then good on ya.
So since there's been an admission by some localities that increased revenue is the raison d' tre for the cameras, what's the answer now? If they weren't put there for safety, then would you feel jipped that your tax dollars were put toward a system whose purpose was to get more money from your pockets? No mention the money going toward the companies who develop, install, and administer the camera systems. Remember that they often take a cut of the ticket so there's some incentive there for more violations as well. If it were my local government, then I'd be raising all Holy Hell about this. Sadly, this sort of crap just seems status quo for a lot of folks nowadays and as long as it doesn't affect them directly or the creature comforts then it must be OK, or even in their best interests on behalf of some authority.
So what's the answer? Or more specifically, if it's your municipality, what your answer to this? Well don't worry, this news-bite will be forgotten in sixty days so nobody will have to answer for this.
End rant.

Not surprising that it is true, but I am surprised at the basic admission of the fact. Me in my simplicity, really did think that the idea of those cameras was to stop people from running red lights.
