Well I wasted $52 (with shipping) for a fender that could have been
bought for $20, because I was under the impression that this thing
would fit the KLR. I installed it, and the brackets are so cheesy that
the fender doesn't even fit right...the front of it is off over an
inch to one side. There is no adjustability to the clamps, so I'm
going to have to oval the mounting holes to make it work. Hopefully
that will do it. I'm also not impressed that the instructions state
that the fork boots are to be raised above the brackets, which means
that there is nothing to hold the bottom of the boots in place. When I
remove the fender to modify the holes, I'm going to try to see if the
boots will fit between the brackets and the forks. Although I don't
hit the trails with this bike, I do ride in the rain at times, and I
don't want water pouring into the boots.
If anyone has any suggestions as to how to get this piece of crap to
fit, please let me know.
