I have been running tubeless since '03 - same wheels on an '03, and then on my '05.
I purchased a couple of tubes of good silicone, sealed the spokes, two tubeless valves, and no issues since.
I have done the Baja (end-to-end), and use my current bike on a hack.
The only (perceived) problem would be a flat bad enough to break the seal at the bead when you are away from pressurized air - I carry a 19" tube, irons, and a pump if I expect those conditions,
El Mur.

Ah, I correction to mine own story, I should have said, "I made two right hand turns before entering a left sweeper--the kick stand being down would not allow me to make the left turn, and I exited the road straight ahead at 70mph. It will make a guy/gal change the way they put the bike in motion. revmaaatin.> my life. > > revmaaatin. >
