flat tire again!

Post by Arden Kysely » Tue Mar 25, 2008 9:04 pm

Jake, Are you putting a lot of lube on the tire when you change a tube? That's the only reason I can think of for your tire to spin on the rim and take the tube with it. You might try leaving off the nut on the valve stem next time. At least that way if the tire spins it won't rip out the valve stem. What kind of tires are you running? What air pressure? __Arden P.S. Your "Jacostarica" signature reminds me of a few days my wife and I spent in Jaco Beach late in the last century. Nice place, but it was the only place in Costa Rica that we had anything stolen--our dirty clothes disappeared from our car truck overnight while we sweated beneath the fan in our room at Alice's Cabinas y Restaurant. --- In DSN_KLR650@yahoogroups.com, Jacobus De Bruyn wrote:

Sure, if you use a tube. Or, you can seal the rims and spoke nipples. You would also have to use a valve stem designed for tubeless use. But why would you want to?

Sure you can, but the better question would be, "Will it hold air?" Not without a lot of work. Fred http://www.arrowheadmotorsports.com http://s1.zetaboards.com/arrowhead
