Hi Jeff, I have been reading your extensive communications, while lurking in silence. I mean the steel cable connected to the sidestand. Of cause a short glance at the electrical diagrams can tell me what to do if the switch itself malfunctions. A plumber can understand DC. Flat tires do not give me major problems, been there, done that. The problem is often with things where I have not been! What do you think, constant refilling reserve tank with coolant means to change seals? Why should I fill it to the limit, if I fill it a bit higher, what will happen? I need to understand things, not just be told do this and that. I hope Fred will sell me the stuff, hard to come by here. What would the regulator have costed over there? I mean stock and new. Could be cheaper to get the stuff from Fred than buying and waiting for it here. I think rear tires vs front tires is at least three to one, but it happens. The tube seemed ok, no nails or thorns. Valve torn. The stock spring on the rear shock, why did the lowering link not work for me, but it works for others? I am a skinny 190 lbs I guess. Stock links back on now, but it is nicer to have a lower bike. May have to buy the new spring if I keep the giraffe, I am not sure a smaller bike would satisfy my cravings....!! So I am thinking, and letting things unfold. End of rant, thank you too for making this list a more interesting one. Hiya Jacobus, I don't think that over filling the reserve tank will harm anything other than spilling fluid out of the overflow vent. Where is you coolant going? The only place that I know of that the water pump can leak into, is the oil pan. Is you oil level rising? Oil turning milky? If not, you may have a leak elsewhere. Good luck! -------Original Message------- From: Jacobus De Bruyn Date: 3/23/2008 12:40:00 PM To: Jeff Saline; dsn_klr650@yahoogroups.com Subject: [DSN_KLR650] switch swatch Hi Jeff, I have been reading your extensive communications, while lurking in silence. darn logs.......

Well , got 30 miles so far, mostly in the woods. I was riding in some tall grass and slid the front wheel a few inches down a hidden log. It's good to have small things happen the first few miles, so you don't become too damn complacent. Those motorcycles are sure fun, wind blowing in your hair, oops Helmet; but need to be respected to the utmost. Enjoy your ride in safety. andy
