Not much Like 36 rwhp. It is a high speed riding lawnmower. Jeff In a message dated 3/21/2008 9:26:13 P.M. Pacific Daylight Time, aminklr650@... writes: Hey guys... There isn't much difference between the old / new in that regard, maybe 2 hp (44 hp in the literature but dyno tests show about 34 hp). The '08 has a bit different cylinder head, cams, and ignition mapping to improve torque, so... I'd look at the other features as a way to determine which way to go: The 'o8 doohickey is stronger, the '08 seat is better, the '08 electric output is better, the '08 lighting is better, the '08 wind protection and resistence to buffeting is better, the '08 brakes are better, the '08 front forks are better, the cost to repair plastic body damage is worse. 36 works well for cruising across the country ........... but not too good for passing trucks in high altitudes (especially double logging trucks in Copper Canyon area of Mexico). Sometimes it is best to wait instead of trying a pass. There is a God. Criswell
