horsepower

Hi guys and gals, I'm new to this list (was on it briefly about a year ago). Not new to motorcyles. I currently ride a 99 BMW r1100rt and have another project bike, 1981 CB900C. I've been riding for about 40 years and have owned bikes for 34 years. In those first six years I like to say I crashed every dirt bike my brother-in-law owned. I don't currently own a KLR650 but have been looking at them for a number of years. Today I found a NEW 2007 for $4779 plus minor doc fees. Almost bought it. Is that about what I can expect to see pricewise? I've seen the few on ebay for a little less. Odd how few there really are for sale given how many years they've been in production. I'm in no rush but I plan on a trip to Prudhoe Bay in summer 2009 and want this to be my ride. Too many questions about setup for this trip for now but if anyone has done a similar trip clue me in. One question, Are the 2008 KLR's different cosmetically only? Bob Kochen Overland Park, KS
