Thane, I enjoyed reading your article. Good job! I went to Newfoundland with David Sims from PEI a few years ago. We didn't ride off-road with our ST1100s, but did go on an ATV trip out of Deer Lake up to Gros Morne NP after meeting up with a friend of David's from St. John's. Great trip. Anyone experience some clattering on a pretty cold startup?Mine did it some last winter when I was running a diesel 15W-40 oil.I changed it to a 10W-40 and it stopped.Right now I'm running the Rotella 5W-40 synth and I'm getting it a little bit again.Its a 2005 with just over 8200 miles.
