<><><><><><><> <><><><><><><> Howdy, My understanding without ever having been inside an '08 KLR650 is the doohickey should be replaced. I'd get my parts from Fred at www.arrowheadmotorsports.com . Probably look under engine. You can make the rotor holder from a good quality 1 1/4" open end wrench if you have access to a torch to heat the wrench for bending. The rotor puller you're probably better off buying. Make sure you put a bit of motor oil on the threads before you install it.
