Arden, Thanks for the info, and same to all who have posted on this. Olympia has a great web site and no doubt some great products - just what I'm looking for. However, their prices are MSRP. I expect to get better deals when ordering from the web. The one piece suit, although rather expensive, appealed to me, but it was nearly half a grand. Robert Posted by: "Arden Kysely" arden646@... dualsportz Thu Oct 25, 2007 6:27 am (PST) Check out www.olympiamotosports.com They make good stuff in bright colors. The jacket liner they use in several models is warm, waterproof, and looks good enough to wear by itself. I've got the Patton jacket in bright orange and love it. Another good option is the Canyon II from Motoport, but they don't make any hi-viz colors. __Arden __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo! The Aerostich suits are half again as much. There is the Fieldsheer Highlander one-piece for considerably less than $500 (from what I've seen) but it is rare. Stephen --- Robert Waters wrote:

I've worn both Fieldsheer's Highlander and the Phantom from Olympia. The Olympia suit is worth the extra dough. Aerostich is the gold standard among suits and probably 99% of folks who buy them think they are worth the money. Robert, as far as paying MSRP, you will always pay that from a manufacturer's site. They will never undersell their retailers. There's a dealer locater function on the web site, check it out for a retail location near you where you might find a better price. __Arden --- In DSN_KLR650@yahoogroups.com, Stephen Grisanti wrote:

Two tips for a cheap(er) Aerostich. Sign up for their mailing list. About once or twice a month they send out a 'sale' list - and usually they have some one-offs, samples, etc at really cheap prices (sometimes up to 50% off) You can also hit their site and they have a Sale Page. For example - right now they have a HizViz suite for $560 - used 100 miles. Also hit the BMWMOA classified. Lots of BMWers unload suits at a decent price. Jim

new klr exhaust test?

Post by C COOPER » Fri Oct 26, 2007 8:45 pm

Hate to be a wet blanket, but IMO there are a whole lot of other mod's I would do before spending money on an exhaust system that the stock snorkel, air box, carb, exhaust valves, exhaust ports and header pipe doesn't/won't/can't use effectively. If you want more power, I suggest that you remove the "snorkel" in the air box intake, drill the idle mixture plug out and richen the idle mixture, and put a couple of #4 washers under the needle in the carb - posts/links available for all on KLR FAQ. The mod's amount to less than $2 worth of parts and actually will improve performance. Chuck
