Does the prevailing torque nut for the drive sprocket require the same
torque as the oem nut?

torque on prevailing torque nut?
The joy of the prevailing torque nut is it doesn't require a torque
wrench. I have them on both my bike and wife's bike and when we hit
the mountains or desert, a crescent wrench is all it takes to switch
the front sprocket out to a smaller one. I takes me 30-45 minutes to
do both bikes and we are back on the trail. So far we have 15,000 or
so miles with the nut.
