2008 taller windshield **correction**

We have been told here in Canada that there is a taller windshield available from Kawasaki for my 2008 KLR. The Candian Kawasaki people say it is not available here yet. I check www.buykawasaki.com and found the stock windshield is part number 39154-5028. Then I check www.ronayers.com and they show it as costing $85.07. Their where does this fit section says "no bikes." Like you found out earlier, they don't have a fiche for 2008 yet. Brad said his friend Harry just bought a 2007 and is getting an extra tall windshield for it from an aircraft acrylics place. He didn't know the name or location. Seems to me you are in virgin territory here and will be paving the way for others. Top posted Tom, My mistake below. It was Don that played with the fiche at www.ronayers.com . As a side note... I got a note from Don that he used the parts diagram at www.buykawasaki.com to check on his drain plug. Sorry for the mistaken identity. The "aircraft place" is Cee Baily in the Los Angeles area, they often are on ebay and offer taller KLR shields. I found this Kawi part # on Kawi's web site for the +4 windshield: 46001-085. It doesn't show up if you just go to the accesories list. I had to start as if I were going to the parts diagrams and then when the model was selected hit "accessories" for that model and a "windshield" catagory came up. Hope this helps. Kurt
