The rear disk gets very hot after I ride. I pulled the caliper off and one of the pads looks a little uneven. Iit seems that there is something going on with the pads sliding (or not) on the pins. I could be wrong so any input regarding this is helpful. Robin

The rear brake design blows. The caliper often with binds on the pins and you'll either end up toasting the caliper pins or a set of pads. Try pulling the caliper off and the pin carrier off, clean up the pins, grease (high temp) and reassemble. There isn't much else you can do for it... Z

Jake, Perhaps you are on to something, being an extraordinary political scientist, etal, using the language of scholarly debate. I would suggest that you pose an interesting juxtaposition, twin towers, morons and elections. Seems to me there were an 'excessive' number of morons running for office in the previous two national, US elections (2000, 2004), not to mention the previous two (or more) elections to them as well (1992, 1996). Then again, perhaps you believe morons is singular to a particular American party, and never a European problem. Having spent 5 years of my life living in Europe and SW Asia, I can assure there a morons enough to go around. Yes, the world is laughing, as thousands risk their lives to enter the US illegally (to make it their home), and other thousands risk their lives to protect our rights as Americans to disagree. Were you one of those that cheered as the towers fell, killing 3000+ folks? Do you really think you are safe in CR from the extremist that have been unleashed on the world? revmaaatin. who is curious about many things

Z, I think Mark Van H suggested opening up the caliper-pin slide holes a couple thousands also...not that I have doe that yet...I am going to... revmaaatin.
