I'd sure like to know! I asked about the Scott one and was told that there isn't one that'll work. But, the Ohlins universal mount might work. It's the same design as Scott's (licensed from Scott), but possibly with a more flexible mounting system. I haven't had time to pursue a definitive answer from Ohlins. If it does work, then I have to find someone who can weld the attachments to my frame, too... -- Blake Sobiloff http://sobiloff.typepad.com/> http://sobiloff.typepad.com/klr_adventure/> San Jose, CA (USA)> any one know where to get one?

Any of the dampers will work, but the mount is the problem. The h/bar mount on a KLR top clamp sets the h/bars rearward quite a bit, and a damper must sit directly over the center of the steering stem to work properly.
One time, I went to the trouble of fabing a proper setup, but it was huge work, and the bike is not a serious-enough off-roader to make it worthwhile.
Scotts makes a convoluted (and expensive) set up for the Honda 650 R - you might be able to modify that to work. (It mounts down on the front fender).
I have a "shock" type damper on my KLR side-hack - it was relatively easy to fab, but it uses the side-hack brackets as a mounting base, so it would be useless to use that idea.
IMHO, there are times when a damper is useful - I have one on my KTM 525 desert bike, but I don't use one on my KTM 300 race bike. Long, high speed runs are where one works best - I am incapable of using my KLR in that type of invironment - your results may vary!

I talked with the GPR folks and they said they couldn't make
one of theirs fit. 8^(
