I think it's 22mm 1.50 with threads about 1" long. But then the threads on a bolt would get buggered up/rip off the bolt and you'd have a real issue to fix. For the cost of the correct and well made puller I think it's worth the effort to get the right tool for this job. I work in an auto repair shop, so I'm hoping we have something on hand to remove the rotor with. I just got the Doo in today, so as soon as the snow and ice stop, I'll ride down to see if I can find something that works. Hopefully we'll get a break in the weather later in the week. Jim

Because its not that pretty of a deal, I worked for sams club for 8months. Your hours can be cut at any time, you won't work more than 37hrs a week, which at their hourly rates is well below the poverty line. I was on track to make 16k a year at sams. Could you support a child on that amount in todays economy? --sam hudson, san antonio tx.

A local group that has been overcharging customers for years (captive market) voted to keep Wally World out. Went to a vote and the consumers won! Alot of things going on out there!! Alot of crying and wringing of hands by the local merchants--all of the sudden free enterprise doesn't work. My klr gets 60 if I keep the speed down--now KLR related!!

Take a close look at the rolled threads on a regular plated bolt and then ask the question again. If you can find a high quality bolt with cut threads it should be OK. Have you inspected the chains and mating parts for wear per the service manuals? I would think that the service life of these components in a well maintained KLR would be greater than 34K. Fred
