Sorry, no. but according to the page you linked
Conclusion
The Vibes are a definite recommendation. I don't know of any other IEM in
the $100 category that comes close in sound clarity, crispness, instrument
separation and fun, not to mention the build quality. The Vibes outclass the
Etymotic ER-6 in most aspects. They might not be exactly as linear as the
Etys, but they're so much more fun to listen to, the sound is more engaging.
The Vibe's mids and treble are also superior to the Ultimate Ears Super.Fi 5
EB, but of course they do lack the overwhelming bass of the Ultimate Ears
(or Sennheiser CX 300). Bassheads might have to look elsewhere, but for
people looking for balanced, airy, clear sound with very slightly increased
bass, the Vibes are the way to go. If you don't care too much about noise
isolation, that is. Isolation really is their weakest point.
And from Etymotic.com:
Noise isolation (34-36 dB) far surpasses that of active noise-canceling
earphones.
That is a big selling point for me. I can just turn off my iPod and use them
like earplugs if I want to.
Thanks
CA Stu

Not bad for $70 at all. I just can't see spending what Apple and others
want. I've seen the various players out there, and there is alot of
variety. I just like MP3 players period. I use mine on my bike and in
the car, where I have a little adapter that plays my CD player through
the FM radio. I have, for me, the best radio in town. I hear what I
want, no BS. And since we don't have even one decent rock station in
Houston, it's a necessity.
thanks for the info!

Dave,
The product ID has rubbed off, but these are Sony MDR series earbuds
with active noise cancelling. Little tiny things that work great. I
think I paid $99 for these, but they really work. The noise circuitry
is in the battery case, but the mikes for the NC system are in the
earbuds. If you don't have active noise cancelling you might as well
forget music on a bike. The wind noise will drown everything out with
regular phones/speakers and you'll go deaf with enough volume. And if
you listen to heavy music like I do, and want to preserve your ears,
these are great. Only limitation is not enough volume once you're over
70 mph.
If only the helmet makers would realize what a market they're ignoring
here...

Don, don't forget the in-ear style earphones that act like earplugs. They work quite well even at extra-legal speeds. And here I thought this would be a highly technical post to the benefit of various aftermarket air or oil filters......
Thanks for the disapointment Fred.....
