Hello everyone. I am looking for a stock klr650 head pipe complete. I am going to ceramic coat header and stock muffler. Haas anyone tried this? If so with what results. Thanks TC [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

Yes. I put an insulation wrap on my head pipe (double insulation). The head pipe split on the inside of the 180 degree bend coming off the cylinder head. I thibk It got too hot inside. I did notice better fuel economy but no seat of the pants improvment on power. I didn't run a dyno test. The insulation wrap worked great while it lasted. After riding for an hour you could rech down and grab the insulated pipe for 1 to 2 seconds with out burning your hane. It lasted about 9 months till the head pipe split. I brazed it back together. Other people I know with Honda XR and Quads run the ceramic coating and say they get more power. But you have to watch out for the KLR's multi-piece head pipe coming apart.

I am looking for a well used head pipe for KLR 650. Does not have to be in great shape. I am only going to use first portion for a new pipe that I will be making. Thanks TC [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

I need a KLR650 head pipe, actually I only need the portion that enters the head. I want to build a new exhaust system and I am not sure that I could reproduce the rectangular portion that enters the head. Does anyone know if these sections are sold separately? Thanks for any help TC [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

Have you tried a simple adjustment yet ? Loosen them and rotate forward or back, depending on how the dealer placed them. Pushed forward I can handle the OEM bars, by the way the dealer installed them I could'nt stand on the pegs and ride they were so far back. Dooden A15 Green Ape
