I was knocked over by the upcoming 2008 KLR, but after seeing this, I'm not
 so sure.

 This I gotta have!

That's about as far away from a KLR as you could get!

When I heard about this one, I was surprised that Yamaha didn't keep
the Vision name trademarked in case they ever wanted to reuse it.

Personally, I'd take a working 1983 Yamaha Vision over the Victory
 version.

To each his own.
That said I wouldn't be caught dead on that thing. Don't get me
wrong though it has great style and looks but that ain't me.
I never had a taste for touring bikes.
If it doesn't fit in your pocket or make the bike go faster it
 stay's home.

Yeah, the Motorcyclist preview of this (with "artist's
conception" drawing) said that the line from Victory
was to the effect of "like nothing you've ever seen."
Pretty cool, and not a disappointment.

Required KLR content: I went to a few shops last week
and found an '05 lime with 10K miles for $4,000, a new
dark red '06 for $5,200, and a couple of '07s for the
same price. They're out there. I should get another
 one.

Looks like a tribute bike to Hanna-Barbera and the Jetsons.

To each his own but my opinion of the Victory is best conveyed by a quote from our cat hacking a hair ball.
