OK, I get it. Just a typo. I was really wondering if there was such a thing as an nole saw. You guys in the States have acess to lots of stuff we've never heard of. Therefore my curiosity. Up here in Canada, our french speaking folks often don't pronounce the "h" on words beginning with same. They'd say " It's in da 'ouse. Or if golfing, in in da 'ole. Therefore, if you're of french descent, it could very well have been an 'ole saw. Although, you chose to spell it as it would have been said " an nole saw".
