(lack of) klr sightings on 3 continents

Hey guys... I supose I never mentioned it but I'm a Psichologist (that's how you say it??) so nothing close to mechanics till now. I allready have my nelson rigg magnetic tank bag, my 550 saddle bags, and yesterday evening arrive new pants (answer)new gloves (alpinestar ps-2), and those tusk handguards everybody said are wonderfull, and they really are..BUT.. I found late at night that the only way to place them was the one I show in a photo album named tusk handguard... I'm a little worry because even if everything was firmely fixed, I dont know if was done rigth.. could anybody take few minutes and chek the photo album and give some advice? or somebody who has put them in your own bike could give me some tips?? Anyway... thos saturday I will ride to some fancy place in order to take some pics and then send them to you in some kind of unshamefull act of vanity and happiness (you could not understand how happy you could be here when fedex knock your door and a big newenough box is in front of you....) regards and rides Guillermo Ecuador PS: I'm not a good example of statistics, but here there are a lot of KLR around..

snip <><><><><><><><> <><><><><><><><> Guillermo, I use Moose barkbusters (handguards) which mount just a little bit differently that the TUSK guards you have. But I think if I was going to mount TUSK guards I'd do it like you have the outer end done. But on the other end (the end at the middle of the handlebars) I would try to take the part that clamps to the bars and rotate it 180 degrees so that it would be below the cross bar and the extension would be on the outer side instead of closer to the middle. I think from looking at the pictures that would still work and might be a better/stronger mount. But please remember I haven't ever used the TUSK guards so I'm just going from what I can see in your pictures. Keep at it and you will get it the way you want it. And keep the list informed as to how you are doing. Hi Judd, Of that 71 members, one lives 352 miles West of Minn/St.Paul...because for this prairie country, 352 miles is not much more than the next, next door neighbor. Out here, there is one particular KLR that is seen routinely, long after most bikes are parked. If my flight job is cnx today, that KLR will be making parish calls, right after the frost melts. revmaaatin. revmaaatin.
