Please don't. We get a bad rap already. Don't make it worse by annoying the public even more by making your bike louder. -- Doug Herr doug@...

Doug, The Supertrap will only last long enough to annoy a few before it starts losing disks and disintegrating, much lisk the Big Gun with the exception of the disks. jf [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

Anybody have any thoughts on the sound of the Anti-Tweet Conversion http://multisurfacemotorcycling.com/products/klrprod.htm I threw out a Supertrapp because it was WAY to loud. Jim

I have something like that. A pre-pre-production model. It's a little louder than the original after the stock's glass is burned but the shape of the exit pipe points the sound down not out. No one has complained yet. My SuperCrap/SupperTripe sits on the shelf. Bogdan

Barely louder than stock and doesn't need rejetting. Kurt [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

staintune is obnoxiously loud and doesn't have to be repacked and is real expensive so it works as a status symbol it's not chrome but close. hal2006

help finding a good pipe

I love riding up to birds before they realize my bird caller has two wheels attached. Some great D/S roads I discovered last weekend: Refugio Rd. off the 101 N. of Santa Barbara running over the mountain ridge into Santa Ynez (passes by the Gipper's old ranch). Sierra Madre Rd., which parallels Hwy 166., and runs along the top of the mountain ridge to the west of the 166 for about 30 miles. Pine Mountain Ridge Rd. off the summit of Hwy 33 N. of Ojai, and S. of Lockwood Cyn. All excellent roads for an average KLR rider, and very scenic. One of my favorite rides, goes up to over 5000 ft elevation at McPherson peak and on a clear day you can see from the ocean to the Sierras. Great ride!
