Hello
I am looking into these saddle bags from Kawasaki (see link below)
does anyone have any experience using them? do I need rack to
protect the bags from the exhaust? and where do I get rain covers
for them, thanks for your help

saddle bags
I was wondering if anyone could give me their opinion of the Kawasaki
saddle bags? Are they worth the money? Is there something better out
there for about the same price?

Im sure theres got to be somthing out there better. Ive got the kawa
bags and they are small but seam to be very good quality. If you dont
plan on carrying much more than rain gear and a few other odds and
ends their great. I add a backpack for winter riding to be able to
carry more gear. For travel or camping they would be much to small.
Day trips and overnighters they work fine except in winter.

Ortlieb makes some good ones available through aerostitch. They claim to be
waterproof - I've borrwed them & I can't get them to leak...

Check out the Ranger Bagz from www.motosportpanniers.com. If you want something bigger, try the ET400 bags from www.chaseharper.com. I got a set of "Travel Bags" soft bags for $150 Canadian that attach w/ 2 2"
wide velcro straps across the seat plus bungee cords under. They expand if
necessary, and I took them to Alaska (19 days in '03), and Montana (10 days
this July). Glad I bought them!

Always wanted to fly gliders until I did it one day.... they spend the entire flight going around in circles looking for 'lift' and as previously stated, I was quite German after the 3d 360 degree turn in a matter of moments. revmaaatin. who does not like to be neartopukin, and I don't like roller coasters either. Give me something safe like bucking horses, wild cows, and KLR's.
