Do the oil screen clean if you haven't been in that side.

Well, this makes perfect sense for that simple fall-over turns to catastrophic failure situation. This is another good reason to "do the doo" early even if you don't think you have a problem. Could just be that you have a piece of metal just waiting to cause trouble. -- Doug Herr doug@...

Mine was like that also but I never have found the missing chunk after having both covers off and searching with a magnet. Criswell

My favorite tool for ifshing these out is this: http://www2.northerntool.com/product/200312445_200312445.htm It can also sometimes be found in hardware stores - someimes Ace carries it - at leat that's where I buy them in Moab. Fish all around in the tranny area. It might also be on the right side in the oil intake screen. all the best, Mike

Hi Ron, Did you go pro-active and install a magnetic drain plug? Having a missing piece in the engine is sacary. My drain plug always has some 'news' for me, every oilchange. Magnetic drain plug does not qualify as farkle, as it is more useful than sparkle. revmaaatin. --- In DSN_KLR650@yahoogroups.com, Ronald Criswell wrote:
