I bit the bullet for a Corbin for my KLR, but a Corbin wasn't available for my 99 Tiger. I bought a wooden beaded seat cover at a Gold Wing gathering (Honda Homecoming) for $10. I've had the wooden seat cover on my 99 Tiger since it was purchased (in 99). I've ridden the Tiger, loaded with camping gear, down the Blue Ridge Parkway on the way from Ohio to the northern Georgia mountains. The longest single day ride on the Tiger has been about 600 miles. I couldn't have done such a long ride on the stock seat. The beaded seat cover gave the seat the firmness that I like and the beads allowed a bit of airflow to keep "things" a bit cooler. A picture of the Tiger with a bit of the seat cover visible is seen at: http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/robsmoto/detail?.dir=3871&.dnm=9f68.jpg &.src=ph or http://tinyurl.com/8zlzn Rob Tayloe> did it work.

At my age, a long ride is 2 minutes, including the before play.

I bought a beaded seat for the KLR from www.beadrider.com about 2 years ago. I use it all the time. I rode to Copper Canyon with it last fall from Denver. My longest single day was 700 miles, but I have had several 400 mile days. I also bought another one for my Concours and then moved it to my Voyager after I sold the Concours. I think they are great. I really appreciate it when it is rainy or hot. Keeps the butt off the seat just enough to make a big difference. I figure I have saved $500 by not buying the fancy after- market seats. Just my opinion.. Bud> did it work.

Works great on my Concourse. 989 miles in one day. saved me from buying
a Russell day long seat. I plan to do it to the KLR but I have done 800
miles in one day with it. It has a Corbin and sheep skin but I think
the beads work better.

Funny you should ask.
Only one hour ago, I got off my Voyager after an 11 hour ride. No butt
problems with my beaded seat cover. Other problems, yes.

I wonder, do people who use beaded seat covers carry
change purses? wrote:
