nklr old fashioned cush drives--anyone rebuilt one lately?
Not sure how "old fashioned" they are. Maybe they use
something else now, but then again all my bikes started
their production life before '91. I shimmed the worn cush
drive on my Kawasaki Zephyr using pieces of old tire
sidewall - seems to work good as new.

Its a fingered interlocking hub with rubber inserts. Might even be able to order the rubber part, it seems mine came out last time I had it apart. Have heard of rubber tire patches being used to shim it, whatever I would do I think I would make sure each hole is shimmed the same, otherwise the static load on the fingers might be reduced down to one finger taking all the torgue.
