Does anyone know what kind of motorcycle Pirsig rode during the adventures described in the book ? He didn't saw specifically; I thought it was a Triumph. His buddy that rode a bike known for its reliability rode - I assumed - a BMW. Bogdan

I'm a student of the work, having read it about twenty times, and as such I've gotten to the point where I'm comfortable talking about Pirsig's trip, his situation, and his possible motives. Zen, being much older then Triumph, would leave Pirsig possibly on a Harley. It fits. His friend was probably on a Hodaka. Perhaps both could be an erroneous assumption.
