Oh heck, after the fireworks, we all decided that all cowlings/windshields
that are not plum require the owner to stop riding and trade in the bike for
an A19. (Grin)
My A16 has been in touch w/ mother earth more than once - easy correction
VIA FORCE. The rest of ya who are troubled by the 'incredible' issue of an
ajar cowling/windshield must by a new A19 through a really bad dealer (
HARHARHAR).
Seriously, the support framework for the cowling/shield is mild steel
tubing. Just bend it.

Any ideas. Howard A-18

My 2004 and a friends both had the fairing crooked, but to the left.
If you loosen the two front bolts that hold the fairing frame to the
bike frame ( directly in front of the serial # decal on the right
side of bike),you can move the fairing a small amount. If someone
else holds the front wheel tightly, you can pull hard on the fairing
and then retighten the bolts. Mine is still a couple of degrees off
center, but there was no more play. And then I too had a few more
beers and didn't care.

To straighten the fairing on my 04 I just held the front wheel with my knees
and gave the fairing a jerk in the direction it needed to go.

Hey I have beers. I'll try these ideas also, Howard A-18
OK I did the two bolt thing and it straitened right up. Now where is my
beer? Howard A-18
