anodize your aluminum kaw parts greenl

Post by Ron Newman » Wed Jun 09, 2004 8:03 pm

I just finished anodizing some of the parts green on my new Kaw KLX400, ya I know it is not the mighty 650 but it's a lot of fun. Anyway thought some of you "do it yourselfers" would appreciate the home brew anodizing method at my site. It sounds just like the engine in my truck before I replaced it. If you have a cracked head or blown head gasket you should also be experiencing extreme spikes in you running temp as the hot exhaust gases get into the coolant. However, if you are still seeing normal running temps, then the odds are your head has developed a crack between a water passage and some spot downstream of the exhaust valve, which was the problem with the #5 cylinder on my truck's engine. Stay away from those block seal tablets. At beast they are like putting a band aid on a sucking chest wound. Pat G'ville, Nv [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
