i apologize in advance, i'm aware that the doohickey has been covered b4 but im on an old slow 'puter and searching the
archives takes me forever. I have an A15 with 17,000 well maintained miles on the clock. pulled the magneto cover to be
sure all was right...everything is still intact (doohickey was replaced @ 12,000...factory part was in pieces), but i have
adjustment room left in the doohickey itself yet the spring is solid dead. Anyone else experience this situation. Is my
balancer chain pooched already?

I know I will need to change my shocks... 250 lbs plus
passenger and gear..
From MultisurfaceMotorCycling.com..
EDITORS BULLETIN: Elden is working with Ohlins of
America to develop the first shock to be manufactured
by Ohlins specifically for the KLR650A. It will
probably be priced under $600 and will come with the
correct spring and dampening settings. Since the stock
shock is a throw away, this should be good news to
serious KLR riders. Stay tuned
