what is the headlight type?

I've been looking at these online, and I'm wondering if anyone has actually used one, and who makes one long enough to actually hold the klr. Most of those I've seen have only been 5 or 6 feet long. Any recommendations? It would be nice to take the bike along on family vacations Mike McDowell

I'm also interested in getting one, and it's my impression that they work, but you've got to be careful about weight distribution on your vehicle. A loaded-up KLR is close to 400 lbs, and it that's offset 24" from your bumper and 5 to 6' from your rear axle, you want to make sure you're not lightening up your front (steering) wheels. So an F-250 or Suburban would be a better carrying vehicle than a Jeep Liberty for this duty. Remeber to subtract the weight of the hitch itself from the tongue weight capacity of your vehicle. In the short run I'd like to put one on my 4Runner and get a 250 dirt bike; in the long run I'd like to put one on a Class B RV, and hang a 400 dual sport on it. I have one of these: http://www.motojackrack.com You didn't say what you where going to use it on. I used it on a Grand Cherokee and had to put some helper airbags on it to keep the back from being weighted down. The KLR is close to the max load for both the receiver and the carrier. I now drive a 2003 F150 4x4. So I would be willing to sell my motojackrack if anybody would want it. I live in AZ. Craig A15 Pruav

I plan to use it with my full size chevy van. I do have concerns about the height of the carrier when loaded. The receiver hitch isn't far off the ground as it is, any vertical offset and I'll be dragging motorcycle tires. Mike McDowell
