new klr parts on ebay
If any of you need body parts for your KLR I have listed a bunch of
BRAND NEW 2003 KLR parts on ebay, just go to the main page and type
in KAWASAKI KLR, that will list everything I have.
As many of you know, we convert the KLR for military use and as the
bikes are uncrated we remove the parts that we don't use and replace
them with our own, such as gas tanks, fairings, rad covers etc. as
well as the shocks.
We have designed our own shock just for the military KLR. The stock
shock, although a very good OEM shock, is not really designed for the
abuse the Marines give the bike, we initially used a well known
aftermarket shock but we had many failures, breaking the shaft
especially, so we came up with our own design that works
exceptionally well.
Dual Sport News is publishing an article on a road test of our shock
in the June 2004 issue, the writer used the shock on his KLR over
several hundred miles of dirt and farm roads and rough back country
in Baja.
Our website (www.f1engineering.com) has more on the shocks, the
military conversions and of our new military project, the diesel
engined KLR, (sorry guys, Military use only at this time).

paperwork
I store my ins and reg papers in my helmet. A zip
lock bag and stuff them back behind the lining.
Course, if your helmet gets stolen.

Nice website. On the spec page you mention that a civilian version is
coming soon. Any idea when?
I would like a KLR that runs on diesel for offroad use in Baja.
Thanks,
Conall
