I'm curious as to how folks are mounting these on their bikes? Anyone proud of their install and want to share a picture? Thanks klr650john@...

Good morning, I don't have a mount for my eTrex Vista because I can't see well enough to read the screen if it were attached to the bars. I have also looped the carrying cord around my neck and kept it in my pocket, pulling it out for a quick view. I even attached it to my forearm so I could raise it up into my line of vision. Radio Shack has an arm strap setup for holding a small radio which works fine. Mostly I keep it in my map cover of the tank bag. Actually I usually have the GPS set it give me information on my speed, time traveled, and altitude etc. George Escondido, CA austin2jm wrote:

I have a RAM mount and a cigarette adapter for the power. If I get a chance I'll send a couple pics, nothing to brag about. One word of advice is if you get the cigarette adapter, open up the plug end and goop some silicone or glue in there to hold the pieces in place. We use them at work and they won't last long otherwise, as the cold sodier the boards. If your shopping for stuff, check out www.gpsdiscount.com I have ordered seveal items from them and they have been cheaper and quicker than I ever expected. J.
