What in the heck is this thread all about? Are you guys all serious? Or is this a joke? I ignored it the first 3-4 post, but now this is getting ridiculous! If you are in fact serious,(god help you if you are) I'd like to hear the mechanical factors and laws of physics that you think are being applied here. I've had a shafty, and wheelied it at will. Putting lots of power to the rear wheel, in ANY form, will allow you to wheelie, with traction of course. And any two wheeled bike, bicycles and motorcycles, are countersteered. Even if you don't know about countersteering, or how to do it, thats still what you do without knowing it. Thats just how it works for turning two gyros, the wheels, except when you are going really slow, then there's no gyro effect. If you do know about counter steering, then you can turn your bike much quicker than the guy that doesn't. And turning your bike quicker, allows you to go into a turn quicker. OK, so I'm no physicisysysyt, but if shaft drive doesn't countersteer, what was it that happened when I pushed on the left bar and the (R1100R) leaned left on those twisties up there on Hwy 1 near Point Reyes? Fantastic area. Drove up to Point Reyes from San Francisco in a renta car and had sore arms from all the steering. Wishing the whole time that I had my KLR there. It is just beautiful out on the Point at the light house. Alan Henderson A13 Iowa

I was there on my KLR last Sunday. I live here. I love it. I love it so much that I lowsided my KLR from gunning it all over the turns and sliding the rearend with my cooked Avon Gripster.
