wilderness rally
Hey guy,
I've been doing the Wilderness for the last 5 years. Myself (KLR this
year) and Paul (DR350 at present for this ride) usually do the back
gravel road bit. Bring all you need as this is a remote camp area with
the only modern thing ==> portalet 1 ... Bathe in the COLD Buffalo
river.
. Memphis BMW club puts on the rally but it's very low keyed
with lots of friends.

wilderness rally
This is out of the BMWON
24th Wilderness Rally BMW R.A.M.S. #34
Arkansas Hwy 14, between Harriet and Buffalo River. Watch for brown
National Forest "Springcreek" sign. Three miles of gov. maintained
gravel road to beautifu;l grass camping on the bank of the famous
Buffalo National River. Primitive camping with a permenent restroom so
bring the rest. This is the Wilderness Rally! Small county stores and
cabins approx 10 to 15 miles. While it lasts, hot dogs and chips Fri.
nite and Roadkiss' chili on Sat nite, firewood, patch. Enjoy fantastic
paved mtn. roads and great GS riding, too!
$15 each.
A few of us will be in the area Thurday evening. Myself will be in
Arkansas Wednesday probably and make my way to the Marshal and Harriet
areas Thursday afternoon. Still have a little of the TAT I want to
finish in the western part of the state if possible. Then do it on the
beautiful roads across to the Buffalo Canyon area Thursday morning.
Ya'll come

chain & weeping cylinder
I was going to suggest JB weld (metal epoxy)for the oil leak. but
with "gold dust" in the oil, I dont know. Could be clutch problems,
or could be a kinda "stop leak" for oil that they guy put in before
it was sold. Does it look like the previous owner droped the bike on
something and cracked the cylinder? cylinder shouldn't take more than
a week to get. My dealer can have anything I order from Kawasaki in 7
days. You can try and buy from www.buykawasaki.com and have it
shipped direct. takes about 3 days
