Dear Sir, There is no offense or insult intended in this statement, but if you can't use that minor assembly and figure out how it works, you are in serious future trouble. The reason I say this is because the oil flow tube will only fit in the hole, with the cover properly flush, one way. If a 50/50 call was too much for you, maybe you selected the incorrect hobby. I'd hate to hear about some squashed KLR rider because of faulty maintenance. With all due respect to you ego and honor, sir. You should not be on that bike yet. You did not take the time to learn the bike. This is obvious by your posted question. If you really wish to learn, I'd spend some winter months with the FAQ's for this list, and your two appropriate manuals to learn about the KLR. The KLR is unlike any other motorcycle you have ever ridden. She can be pampered, she cam be beat and whipped for days on end. All she asks for is a little maintenance and some attention now and then. I guarantee if you do that, you'll be a much better rider in the spring, and you will know and be one with your KLR. Please take care, we don't need anymore KIA riders. jim+ama585601 [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
