Does anyone know of any other manufacturer of centerstands out there other than Dual-Star? Their price of $160 plus shipping is a little unreasonable I think, considering I've seen hydraulic lifts for less than $100. Any input would greatly be appreciated. Thanks Frank

Yes, $160 is expensive ... but they are manufactured by Americans and American labor and hardware is far more expensive than the Chinese labor and Chinese hardware that go towards making the $100 hydraulic lifts. barnaby -----Original Message----- From: boagy1 [mailto:boagy1@...] Sent: Monday, November 25, 2002 10:16 AM To: DSN_klr650@yahoogroups.com Subject: [DSN_klr650] Searching for a Center Stand Does anyone know of any other manufacturer of centerstands out there other than Dual-Star? Not to mention that the $100 lift, which I have, is a sloppy piece of crap. It works, if only just adaquately, which is the same I can say for my Delta drill press*, which is also made in China. Not to mention, I would look funny riding around with that really heavy and large M/C lift straped to the rack. Dooden

Products made in China are made by slave labor. I don't go out of my way to buy American products, but I think we should draw the line at supporting those who live by exploiting others. K. D. Bailey

All electronic products are contracted out to Chinese assemblers and engineers. All scrap computers go back to China to be recycled. This will be true in 5 years. Workers are paid $0.30/hr. and work 18 hrs. per day. Hi tech companies are the new sweatshop in China and we all are supporting the greed. Conall

Speaking of which...I'm sure some of you have read the moto-seat article in the latest MCN. The writer explained in scientific ( pseudo scientific ?) terms - graphs and all - how a big ass is a great ( pun intended ) advantage for comfort on any motorcycle's seat. A small butt - conversely - is an unredeemable disadvantage. All has to do with psi, pressure points etc. Bogdan
