Educate me...what be this "Walther Tool"? I reside just across the river from Smokey Mtn Knife Works here in Sevierville. They have a bunch of interesting stuff in there, some useful, some not. Is this something a good dual-sporter should be packing? As for the tree...good job! The hills around here were on fire about this time last year (or was it the year before?...my brain hurts) and it wasn't a pretty sight. It's been terribly hot and dry this year also with those occasional mega-storms with plenty of lightning. Hope it doesn't happen again. I, pretty much, stay out of the woods this time of year because, around here, those big ol' ugly spiders build their webs across the trails and after a ride, it looks like my bike and I went though a silk factory and I just know one of those critters is crawling all over me Can you say... "Arachnophobia"? Sonny '02 KLR650>Don't ask me why: I >was carrying the new Walther Tool I had just bought from the Smoky Mountain >knife catalog.

Hey Sonny, that was a new one on me, also. I used Walther Tool in Google.com and came up with this site: http://www.gutmanncutlery.com/waljungle.htm It looks like an excellent thing to have... I bought a German tri-fold shovel at a surplus store. It is well
made, may be a little heavy, but this helps when use use it as an
axe. It has a serrated edge on one side that chops great, you can
dig with it, and it would make one hell of a weapon, if needed. John
