I realize that it would be really "politicaly incorrect" but has any
body ran their KLR with a straight through exhaust? Did it run well? (noise
aside). When I see the Harley's with their straight pipes roaring around
town..(they don't actually leave town do they) and I think of my Velocette
(a now out of prodution 500 single with virtually no baffling in the factory
exhaust) are we sacrificing much (if any) performance on the alter of public
preception?
Enquiring minds are curious?

I ran my A15 with the muffler off. Just the header pipe. it's VERY
VERY loud. Couldn't tell if it ran better or worse. It was just VERY
VERY loud.

Can anyone one please tell me if the 267 in Death Valley to "Scotty's
Castle" and through to the 190 is a dirt road or pavement ?
