In theory. I think that in reality, once the tire has been installed and inflated, the 3.25 ends up with a larger circumference.>

My rear K270 got that squared-off feeling around 3k miles but easily had enough tread to go 6k. The front still has legal tread depth after 9k. The front's off-road braking traction got lousy a while ago, but the tire still hooks up the same as it always has when you crank the bike over in turns. I've heard other reports of MT21's chunking on heavier bikes. One tire that continues to amaze me is the C755 non-DOT. I put this thing on for LA B2V and then continued using it while blasting up and down the freeway at 80mph for 2200 miles since then. I had expected all sorts of bad things to happen to this "not for highway use" tire. The reality is that the knobs aren't chewy-looking, all of them are present and accounted for, and there are no cracks in the casing. I've done some 2-up over nasty/steep/rocky terrain and the tire just doesn't seem to care. It has exceeded my expectations. RM>fact, I wouldn't be riding. A friend with a KTM640LC4 (ex-bike, switched >to an XR) swore he couldn't get more than a thousand miles out of >Pirelli MT21's before they chunked themselves to death. Whatever.
