Cha Ching. Because we can. We have Supertrapp users, Cobra users, Big Gun users, Lazer Pro Duro users, and maybe even some home made units and ancient Jardines. First and foremost, you remove a lot of weight off the rear right side of the bike. I don't think any of the aftermarket units come to within 50% of the weight of the stock system. #2 The insides of your muffler can easily rust because most people forget to drain the plug bolt. Then there is that "tweety noise." I may only get between 2 and 10% more power with my mods, my mileage doesn't seem to have been affected much. I ride quietly and in a higher gear when it is late and I am in a residential area. But Lord, oh Lord, I do, love that deep thumpin sound that comes from my IDSII. I also prefer the look over stock. If you like stock, stay that way, no body is going to give you a hard time. That is why we own KLR's, so we can make them for what we need them to do. Ah blow it Pat. Aftermarket exhaust when used properly will lighten the bike, make it run more efficiently (after all the playing around is done), sound better, and sure as hell look better. Merry Christmas Pat. Sorry we haven't invited you and your family yet, but the weather and the contractors haven't exactly been helpful. Check out west coast dealers, you are liable to find one there if Acerbis doesn't sell to you over the phone. I got my off the Acerbis phone line. Merry Christmas Jim Texas Thumpin [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
