A magazine or at least a magazine featured exactly this about 8 years ago. It was a then-new CR500 that was given only street tires and different gearing. It literally tore apart sport bikes and it's biggest problem was keeping the nose down. In that same article they tested several dirt bikes (on knobbies) at a drag strip against street bikes. The results were somewhat surprising to the street bike crowd. They lost to 50 across the board to the dirt bikes! After that the street gearing/set-up took over and they smoked the dirtbikes.

I just checked out the CR500 on Motomorphic.com. OH MY GOD!!! druuuuuueeeeeeeelllll... Nope Darrick. I think your wrong. I wouldn't go to jail. They would have to catch me to put me in jail. I just don't think they could. Not alive anyway. :~) Brian
