Hello Again. Since so many of gave me such helpful information, I thought I would post my findings. Please note,the information below is only my opinion, and not necessarily stated fact - well actually, yes it is. I've narrowed it down to three choices, and quite frankly, this idea has turned into an unexpected project. Just when I thought I had it down, I found I had to make a choice between Bi-metal thermostats and electric coiled...I'm sure you all know the difference, and after a quick call to Widder, I do too! But, without knocking anyone, is it really necessary to charge an extra $10 for a coiled cord?? I i feel like someone is getting to rub in some sand. Widder $218 for System2, uses 33amps with the electric thermostat set on high, with a max temp of 88 degrees BMW $139, has a collar, 85 degrees after 10 min using 44 watts. Aerostitch Kanetsu - I can't decide if I should do with or without the windblock - the fleece is twice as thick. Again, I don't want him to get to warm. At 45 watts and $157 (for the windblock), it seems to be the best bang for the buck. Gerbing It appears they only make jacket liners and not vests. As important as it is for the husband to stay warm, it's important that he doesn't get too hot! (Seems he would have made a better woman!) So, I think I'm leaning towards the Aerostitch. Their coiled cords and accessories are less than Widder's too, although, does anyone think a gift certificate to Radio Shack would cut it??? Again, thank you all for your input. You'll be happy with the aerostich stuff. I have the full liner with windbloc. It is very bulk and very warm. I cook if I wear it in temps above 40degrees F. I don't even plug it in until the temps are in the mid 30's and it keeps me comfy warm down into the teens. Gino
