GM lacks intestinal fortitude. You know good and well their electronic engine control and fuel injection with knock sensor self-calibrates for the gasoline in the tank. If GM (or any other automaker) they'd provide a display of what the ECU knows. Imagine, "Dear driver, please don't purchase that swill again. Sincerely, (signed) Your Engine." Wouldn't it be just *awful* if mere consumers had some ready way of knowing which station pumped the gasoline which most agrees with their engine? Am certain that I'm anal in this respect as I keep a logbook in each car, truck, motorcycle (but not my lawnmower) of maintenance and fuel purchases. I have over 2500 miles of interstate travel at better than 30 MPG in a 2000 Avalon. But the one time I purchased local Exxon at the start got 26. Previous car didn't like Exxon, but not that bad. Can't tell much difference between Texaco, Shell, and Chevron. Can't tell much difference between 87, 89, 91, and 93 octane. But I keep looking. -- David Kelly N4HHE, dkelly@... ===================================================================== The human mind ordinarily operates at only ten percent of its capacity -- the rest is overhead for the operating system.> --- David Kelly wrote: > > >The reason there is so much debate is that its very hard for mere > >consumers to tell the difference between one oil and another. what corbin saddle options should i consider?
I want to order my non-dip Corbin seat, but I am not sure about what
materials and options I should include in my order. I hear some
people go with a basketweave top, others tell me that these weaves
are harder to clean. I ride the bike primarily 80/20 street/dirt. Any
suggestions and the reasoning behind them will be greatly
appreciated. - Everett
