Come on folks, sign up for this little holiday get together. Bring the
family, bring the kids. At least on of the guys is bringing a RV and is
planning on cooking a Turkey. Hey, you Houston riders, get hold of me through
e-mail or squawk line. We want to reserve a group site and that will require
a minimum number of people. I'm not sure how many yet, but I am looking into
it. Come one, come all. I predict it will be a blast. Right now, my family is
following in the Taurus while I ride the bike. Then again, we only live in
Austin. A good days ride should get us to Big Bend. Hope you decide to join
us. If you would like to join just send me an e-mail with your name, City and
State location, and a telephone number where you can be reached. Also, in
light of what recently happened with our lost brothers, it may be prudent to
file at least a generic flight plan in case someone no shows. Hope you'll
join us.

nklr: thanksgiving get together
KLR, DR, XT, Tiger, Cagiva,BMW, and KTM riders, we are trying to put
together an event in Big Bend, Texas. We are hoping to enlist entire
families to come out and ride, socialize, and eat Turkey. One or two
of the listers are bringing RV's as well. We would like to reserve
the larger group campsite so if you would like to attend, please
contact me off list.
The dates are 11/21 through 11/25. We realize that everybody may not
be able to take that much time away from home or work, so if you can
just make it for a couple days, that would be great. I have never
been to Big Bend but I hear it is beautiful with different types of
riding available. Street riding, and dirt road riding.
This outing should be a blast. Lots of friends getting together for
some Holiday cheer.
Also, would the lister that is bringing the RV and first Turkey
contact me off list. I have some questions and I would like to
discuss them with you.
Thanks

nklr: bad luck or no luck
For those of you that I have chosen to share the details of my
current disability, I received some bad news the other day.....
In my apology letter I mentioned some hard times. To give you an idea
of the way my luck has been running. Yesterday I was told by a
surgeon that I was going to have to live in pain the rest of my life.
Then I went out to remove the dash bezel on my Blazer, since the
thieves broke it. I could not get the LED light out of the dash. So,
I figured, break it the rest of the way. One swing of the ball peen
hammer and the head flies off the handle and smacks my windshield
which creates a starburst crack about 11 inches in diameter right in
front of the drivers seat. This just hasn't been my best year at all.
Oh well, it can only get better.
